Today, I have a rather exciting post for you! If you follow my Instagram or Twitter, you will have already been bombarded with photos and over-excited captions. For this, I offer no apologies.

A few weeks ago I took part in a photoshoot in Notting Hill for the brand Arkive Girls. Excluding the countless childhood 'fashion shows' I shamelessly forced my parents to endure, I'd never done anything like a photoshoot. As you can imagine, I was bursting with excitement, but I couldn't suppress the overwhelming waves of nervousness that came over me as I wondered how I should pose. As a slightly awkward 5'1 modelling amateur, my confidence in looking picture perfect wasn't particularly high. But, alas! the team at the shoot was fantastic, styling me to perfection.

Arkive Girls is a Scotland based clothing brand that specialises in cool and current clothing. Their collections have an urban chic vibe about them, which I absolutely adore! When asked by photographer Saskia Rodriguez to take part in the shoot, I jumped at the chance! Saskia also has a very casual yet stylish look, so I opted for edgy minimalism when choosing an outfit to wear to the shoot.

The thought of a white and black outfit against the backdrop of internationally admired Notting Hill architecture was too enticing. I just couldn't help myself. Here's what I wore:

Shirt - ASOS
Skirt - TkMaxx
Socks - H&M
Boots - Bank

I can't get over this ASOS shirt; I love it so much! Since being in complete awe of Susie Bubble's sheer dress back in June last year, I've searched far and wide for the perfect mesh shirt. Coincidentally, I came across mine almost exactly a year on, in the same store that graced us with Susie's mesh masterpiece: ASOS.

I was invited to the shoot, along with fashion bloggers Sophie of Set In Style blog and Jessica of Jessica Withey blog. Both bloggers are outrageously stylish and were equally as excited about the shoot! It was lovely spending time with them before and after the shoot, strutting through Hyde park and Instagramming excessively.

The preparation for the photoshoot was really fun; it's always nice being pampered by makeup artists, hair stylists and fashion buyers! In total, we had three outfits each, all of which were carefully styled and complimentary of the beautiful bright houses along Portobello Road.

Saskia took some wonderful shots, which I'm so excited about sharing with you! I'll write a post for each of the three outfits, but for now here's a little preview:

This was such a wonderful experience for which I am grateful, and I'd definitely love to do something similar in the future! I hope you enjoyed this post!

Have a lovely day
