I've been using this unanticipated summer spell as an excuse to indulge my growing obsession with pastels. I tend to favour the whites and the pinks when it comes to pastels, and when I laid eyes on this lovely pink number, I knew it just had to be a staple in my summer wardrobe. Paired with my chunky white sandals, this outfit is gloriously effortless and perfect for those long lethargic afternoons.

I may have taken the phrase 'basking in the sun' a little too literally, but for that, I offer no apologies. The tan lines from the straps of my dress and sandals really were a sorry sight, but they were totally worth it for this lake adventure (and the cringey Titanic pose).

I must apologise for the terrible state of my elbows - but they are a result of an impressive 18 years of grazing. I'm pretty clumsy. Ignoring my elbows, can we just take a second to appreciate how cute the back of the dress is? Also, I am so in love with this uneven hem, which is yet another trend which has me firmly in its grip. I feel it just adds a little bit of character to what is otherwise a simple dress.

I hope you like this look, and enjoy your day!

  4. I absolutely love your hair..and your dress...and your shoes. Everything basically. Haha. <3 You have gorgeous skin. Tan lines be damned. Haha. Honestly, I try to avoid the sun at all costs in the summer time, because I'm actually very light skinned. Kind of like the perfect tan. So, when I get exposed to the sun, I get really, really dark and I feel ruined. Heh. Plus, I just think it's really annoying when by boobs are a different color from the rest of my body. >_<
