Kryptonite

I've got a few outfit posts that are Lichtenstein inspired and even more that pay homage to the fleeting monochrome trend. However, that didn't stop me from photographing this outfit which is some sort of monochrome comic hero mash up. I guess this outfit is a typical showcase of that all too familiar "plain, with a dash of colour" ensemble.

I'm sure you'll excuse the washing line in the background and my squinty faces throughout these pictures. The sun was trying to blind me.

 

The belt I'm wearing was actually a spontaneous purchase from sportsdirect.com (aka the shop I'm dragged into when my brother needs various unnecessary sporting equipment). It is a man's belt, and obviously far too big - thankfully, I have a handy little belt-hole puncher which basically acts as an excuse for me to buy hundreds of ill-fitting belts. Yeah. Speaking of 'ill-fitting', these shorts are actually just a pair of XL longs that I try to pass as 'oversized high-waisted minis'. Don't tell anyone.

 As you can see, my hair is still blue with purple ends, and I do plan to keep it that way for the rest of the summer. I honestly love this colour; in terms of its effects on my sanity, it is equivalent of receiving 50 brand new items of clothing. Every time I introduce myself to somebody, I instinctively flip my hair forward and excitedly ramble about the colour of my hair. It's all very embarrassing for whoever happens to be with me at the time. Oh well.
