I remember whispering "I love you, MJ" to the singing doll I had of him at the age of six. That's embarrassing.. So rather than whipping out the doll as a declaration of my love for the King of Pop, I opted for this shirt. Bought this summer during the H&M sale for just £3, this iconic shirt is far from vintage. The craze for iconic tees and jumpers was interesting in 2012. Often I would wonder if even a third of the girls wearing Led Zeplin merch could name a single song by them. Guys were just as bad - I even overheard one fashion conscious asking another if Joy Division was a clothing line.
Anyway! Back to the outfit! I was channelling 90s grunge with some high-waistedboyfriend jeans. I find them a bit awkward at times because as you can see, they perfectly round the waist but then they go a little 'joggers-daily' round the thighs. To make the look more like the 90s trousers they are, I rolled up the bottom, put on some cute sock and laced up my converse. Good to go.
